Lavender Oil- the soothing allrounder

Lavender oil is one of my favourite oils for every day. I always have one with me, no matter where I am.

Lavender oil has a calming effect, both on our body and on our emotional system.

Your skin is itchy or irritated? A mosquito has bitten you or someone around you? Just put some drops of lavender on and you will be surprised how quickly you will forget about your pain. Even after a bad sunburn lavender is my number one reliever. Try it out – it is stunning how fast lavender oil delivers results you can feel and see.

More than once lavender essential oil helped exhausted friends of mine when they felt hyper, agitated or unsettled. If you are a mother, lavender gives you something on hand to release pressure of your kids when they are nervous e.g. because of school troubles. Just diffuse 4-5 drops in your appartment and create a relaxing atmosphere. You may as well dilute 1-2 drops of Lavender with fractionated coconut oil (or almond oil) and massage it on your kids´feet. If they like it, give on drop in their hands and have them smell the oil.

And finally after a busy day – put two to three drops of lavender on your pillow or diffuse it in your bedroom. I am still surprised how impactful this oil is.
However, essential oils are not magic. It takes some time for them to unfold their power. So for a good night’s sleep apply them one to two hours before you go to bed. Our body and mind are not machines, give them some time to get to know the oils. Lavender is a good start!
